The MPL Children's Department is happy to provide free tours and library education for school age children. Due to the demands of our summer programming, we only schedule tours during the school year. We schedule most tours during Thursday and Friday mornings.
All tour requests are subject to staff availability. Teachers, please obtain permission from your principal before confirming a tour date with the library. Group sizes are limited to 75 people for Children's Department tours. Size limit includes teachers, parents and other chaperones. Tours must include enough chaperones to effectively monitor their class during the tour.
Want a librarian to come speak at your school? We're happy to do that too. Please use the tour form to request an outreach and indicate as much in the comments field.
Every program will include:

*Only one program/tour per organization per day will be scheduled.
We advise that you arrive on time. If you are late, your program will still end at the scheduled time.
